Erm, the copy editors were the first to be pink slipped when ET moved to its new digs in some Gurgaon backwater. Actually the last time I was in their old BZ Marg Delhi office there were bare wires (electic and network) hanging out of the ceiling and people would quite gingerly thread their way past. In that atmosphere team spirit is g-o-n-e. This rash of poor spellings even affects TV. Can’t remember the howlers but if sarkar in the form of CBSE condones spelling mistakes in English paper what hope does this county have. Let’s all Quit India (Gandhi got it right 60+ years ago :p)
